JARC is an Oakland County non-profit organization that serves people with disabilities and their families in a variety of ways, from housing to in-home respite care, to advocacy, to educating the community. Founded in 1969 by a small group of parents concerned about the future of their children with developmental disabilities, JARC is now known as a prototype for innovative, high-quality community-based residential and support programs for people with developmental disabilities, and has led the way in enriching lives and erasing barriers.
“I feel that I am able to influence change and add to the quality of life of the people we serve.”
“I work with wonderful people (including the people we serve) who truly care about the mission of JARC.”
“Success stories, triumphs, the progress that the people we serve experience from the services we provide. ”
“The passion of the people who work here, and the people we serve.”
“JARC constantly invites new ideas in the PayDay Press, at meetings, and with our open door policy. New ideas are created all the time!”
